Growing Inside

One of the most important things about gardening for me, is including my children. I really want them to continue to learn how to garden. There is so much to learn in growing the seeds, planting them, nurturing them to harvest. Gardening is such a lost life skill! I do believe more people are becoming interested in learning how to garden again though!

So many of my friends have reached out to me with pics of their green onions and herbs they are starting. I love that I have inspired some of my readers! I have at least 10 friends interested in doing the lemon and lime trees. How neat is that?!

I know they are teaching and learning with their children too!

Last night, my kids and I got to work! We finally got all my herbs going! We have arugula and stevia planted now too!

I went to Dollar Tree to grab some tape so I could label all of my cups, and I found awesome spring items that were so helpful !!

Plant labels, flower mixes, tiny planters (that I’ll reuse) and starter pots! We got Daisies, a purple flower, tomato and strawberry starters. These are perfect for kids!

I really want these to get established because in two months we will be starting our garden seeds! We will need to make room!

I still have a few things left to plant. I have lemon balm and mint to work on next, and probably others. I just need to get out my seeds and double check.

I thought I would update on a few things. I have already posted about.

Here is my “Christmas” basil

I also added more romaine to my “kitchen scraps” Tupperware container

The original romaine is actually growing very quickly! I have celery in there now as well.

Lastly, my scoby is looking awesome. I am so proud of my Kombucha. It is doing very well. I plan to start bottling soon!

This is a list of what I have growing in my home:

  • Kombucha

I want to thank everyone who has told me they enjoy my content. Sometimes I feel like I am speaking to no one, but I am reminded by many that they enjoy these posts. I have decided very early on that this blog is for mostly me. It’s amazing to look back and see how far you’ve come. I have always felt this way about Instagram too. I don’t care if I take a million pictures.. they are my memories that I like to freeze in time.

I always suggest journaling, picture taking etc to my clients. It is very therapeutic to have an outlet.

I’m probably the only blogger who didn’t make New Years resolutions for 2019. None here. I just want to keep growing. I want to keep loving myself. I don’t need a new year to do that. Every day is a new start. Fresh page. It’s whatever you make it.

If I could have any mantra for 2019, it would probably be to thrive. I have built such a wonderful life for me and the kids. Everything feels so calm. I am at peace with where I am in my life, and who I am surrounding myself with.

There are so many huge things happening already and we are one week into the new year! More to come, too! I can’t wait to talk about it all.
