My kids really love chocolate milk. They always want me to make my homemade syrup. I haven’t made it since last winter and Emma has requested it recently.
This syrup is simple and doesn’t have a million ingredients. Just a few. It is ten times better than Hershey’s. So good, you’ll never buy Hershey’s again.
Here is my recipe.
Best Chocolate Syrup Ever
3 cups of water
3 cups of sugar
2 cups of cocoa powder
Pinch of salt
Heavy splash of vanilla (I use my homemade Madagascar vanilla)
Add all ingredients into a sauce pan. Wisk constantly. Let it reach a low boil then turn it off. Pour into jars or a large container. Start to finish should only take you ten minutes.
This recipe doesn’t have a million ingredients or preservatives (other than salt)
Store in fridge. I don’t think it will ever go bad, but I guarantee it will be gone long before then anyways.
